BIOCIDE
AFROCIDE (BIOCIDE) is highly active matter for the prevention or control of corrosion done by microorganisms in oil field operations in water-base drilling, completion / work over, cooling towers systems. Stimulation and packer fluids. AFROCIDE is a liquid for faster dissolving in water or drilling fluids without leaving any residues. AFROCIDEis effective in controlling bacteria in stimulations process and recommended for use with systems containing polymers that are readily biodegradable (i.e. starches, biogums, etc.) to control bacteria and fungus growth.

Applications
AFROCIDE is used to control a broad spectrum of micro organisms in water base drilling, completion, packer fluids and stimulations process. It is effective against aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.
- Prevent spoilage of organic colloids
- Control sulfate reducing bacteria
Technical Information
As anti-fermentive in polymer based fluids, clear water and brines, normal treatments for AFROCIDE range between (10-400 ppm) and is recommended for sulfate reducing bacteria. When bacterial activity is already present, treatments should be increased.
Advantages
AFROCIDE
- Effectively controls bacteria when used in the recommended concentrations.
- Non-ionic chemistry does not affect rheology and any other materials in stimulation process.
- Liquid that leaves no residues in fluids or brines.
Limitations
Effective up to 325° F (162° C).
Packing
AFROCIDE is packaged in 55-US gal /drum.
